went to a pub called the fusilier mate, about a 15 min walk, their rooms were £40 a night (had big sign up advertising them)

decent place as well

This place is a decent watering hole but I wouldn't stop there, £40 is for a single room they wanted £114 for a double(read reviews on trip adviser), you can book the Ibis Hotel at the side of Wembley Stadium for £135 but you will probably have to book quick.

Its a room FFS.

I don't see the point of staying around the stadium. Its a sh1t hole round Wembley and after the game finishes I would much prefer to either head into London or somewhere north of London (Watford, Uxbridge etc.) than stay around the Stadium!

That's what I was going to say. Don't restrict yourselves to Wembley as it's a shithole and very easy to get elsewhere in North London or even further afield.

We stayed in the WEmbley Hilton and it made life pretty damned easy. A bar overlooking the stadium approach, parking underneath etc.

After the game the pubs on WEmbley High Road were rocking with celebrating City fans and it was the same after the 2011 final.

It saves a lot of arsing around.

I'm sure it does, but the cheapest room at the moment is £170, which obviously isn't realistic for everyone. I'm just suggesting people don't blindly restrict themselves to the immediate vicinity of the ground. You can stay in the pubs around Wembley til after 11pm and still get to pretty much anywhere in London without too much hassle.

We've booked the Park Inn hotel Watford for Friday and Saturday. £65 each night

Booked a similar deal at the Premier Inn Croxley Green (near Watford), £128 for 2 nights, it went up from £88 on the coach journey home!
