So, I've saved up for a couple of months, its my wife's birthday in may. Also a very boozy wembley trip aswell coming up. Managed to save £860 (took it out of my secret hiding place),
on Sunday morning but the phone rang, I put it in my pocket and went to answer the phone. By this time my wife had appeared and I had this money in my pocket. We were going out Sunday morning, so just as we were leaving, I said I'd left my mobile in the kitchen, so went back inside. I stashed the bundle of twentys in the jug in the cupboard that my wife uses for sauces/gravy etc. thinking when I get back I'll put it back in my secret place.
Got home late and a bit pissed, so I forgot all about it.
Came in from work earlier and was a bit surprised to find my wife with the picture below looking a bit sheepish. Turns out she put the jug in the microwave to warm it up before putting gravy into it, to go with a lovely roast chicken dinner... Needless to say, felt a bit sick so just pushed it around my plate for a bit then left it. Any ideas on my next move?
