Wenger

I doubt he wanted to sell his best players and replace them with 'affordable' alternatives. While I think blame does belong to him he's just part of the overall problem at that club. I'd say get rid and then sit back and laugh when they realise it's the owners who are shafting them.

There's no doubting how good he's been down the years but i think the problem is with himself.

I think he's a very stubborn man the way he has gone about a few things.

When it was blindingly obvious he needed some quality in defence and in midfield say a ball winer type a few seasons ago, instead of for once just buying someone in with a bit of quality he still went down the Wenger route and went with youth. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with this but sometimes you just need to go out and pay the money.

It's brilliant how he builds teams through buying young players and bringing them through but everyone can see it's just not going that extra step to actually winning something. It may do in a few years is what we keep getting told but those few years look like being 8 now. We keep hearing the fans are not happy with their big players leaving along with them not winning anything and they can see it happening year on year and no end to it

It's not been a formula for success lately apart from top 4 each year which in itself is good with the teams chasing the 4 spots. If they miss out on a few though which is looking more likely these past couple of years then I can see problems.
We know they dont pay the real big wages and I'm sure working with wenger is a big draw for some players, when it doesn't involve champions league though getting players to stay or come in will be that bit tougher. Along with the extra monies that are kicking in he's simply going to fall further behind Us, united and chelsea with the chasing pack catching and maybe overtaking them.

I think it's his stubborness and even more so with the things he's said lately about clubs spending big money that is affecting his better judgement, I'm sure he can look at a quality player the finished article and think, how good he would be for the team, but then the Wenger way kicks in and he goes out and buys a 18 year old.

How many time have we seen a player go to a club and you say to yourself along with the whole of football, he'd be perfect for arsenal. You know he wont be going though as he's 28 or close to that.

It's not working he just needs to go out and and buy a few finished articles to complete his set up, it might not work but what he's been doing for the last few years isnt either, he did actually do nearly this in the summer though so maybe he's changing is way a little.

Surely they have also got to put a stop with their star players leaving starting now, I've no idea what other players think but if you're one of the up and coming next star players or someone looking for a move, surely you'll be looking at all the players leaving and think something isn't quite right there.
Wallcott this year who next Wilshire, I think that would be the last straw for the fans, but would anyone be shocked that much the way things are going if he left in a couple of years In not so sure I wouldn't. They have to put a stop to it and who ever is working behind the scenes with the contracts as got to get it sorted or needs the sack and sharpish.

Obviously I'm just a random on a forum and Wenger knows better than me but I still say and stick with it looks like.

Wenger = stubborn

His biggest problem recently is that his best characteristic is not that good anymore. He used to buy real gems before but in last 3-4 years most of players he bought for good money for his standards are shit or average.

Cazorla is his only top buy recently with OX being potential in the sea of Arshavins, Chamakhs, Squillacis, Podolskis, Girouds etc.. He doesn't spend too much and if you make mistake while being in such position, than you can't expect a lot.

what MSP said.. who in that squad has the same quality of a nasri, rvp, or cesc while they were at arsenal besides cazorla? wilshere is really the only one and he still hasn't peaked yet

arsenal are a mess tbh and what worked for wenger before isn't working for him now. they really need a fresh start and probably a clear out of that squad

I think they wanted to win this cup at least even if mickey mouse cup.

They put up a decent eleven against league one or league two team Bradford.

They hardly could play with a strnger team in PL match. Maybe Arteta instead Coquelin.

Horrible loss for them, and great result to Bradford. Congrats to them.

Now Wenger faces a fight for 4th place dont know how many times there wontbe a fucking club that can beat him to 4th place this year it could be Everton or Spurs but just could be ...

In CL no way they reach a semifinal and Wenger finished only 2nd in an easy group so he will have an opponent from the 1st placed teams like Bayern, Barca, Dortmund, Juve, PSG, Malaga.

Apart from Malaga the other teams will crush Asenal pretty sure.

FA Cup? Well Swansea-Arsenal is a tricky tie thats for sure:DD

Wenger'st last chance is their "trophy" called 4th place again. But given Everton, Spurs not sure they strong enough we will see.

Wenger loves football. Lookat him on the touchline, he lives and breathes the game.

Done a shocking job in recent years at Arsenal.

Istill can't get my head round AFC selling Fabregas and Nasri that Summer and then waiting until deadline day to buy and buy bad. They had 12 months to sort replacements and contingencies out. And that's just 1 issue of many

There is something very wrong at that club, I told an arsenal friend of mine this yesterday. They are wadded, they get 60k crowd every week and play in one of the worlds best cities. Why are they not recruiting the best players around, not only that they actually sell some of the best players around. Wenger is far too loyal, he should do one then spill the beans, of course he won't , he's far too classy for that.

I reckon the only thing wrong at that club is that they are intent on paying off the stadium before investing in players. That is why they regard 4th place as acceptable and just invest enough to get there. As long as they are in the Champions League, which they are every year, they can continue to pay off the stadium and, when they have, they will be the richest club in the country in terms of FFPR.

This is one of the reasons they hate us. They are quite content to sell Van Persie to United but abuse us roundly when we pay over the odds for their players. Throw into the mix that we jeopardise what they regard as their rightful CL income by pushing them down a place in the pecking order and it's no wonder the likes of Brian Glanville are obsessed with hatred.

One of my dearest wishes is to see them fail to get into the CL this year. Let's see how astute their financial planning is then.

How shit does a paper have to be to use the same 'punny' headline twice on the same page?

Easier to blame us for their downfall than blame themselves for valuing dividends over squad building.
