The fans on here who know me will be the first to tell you that I will always stand and sing and try to get those around me to do the same which to be honest they do try, my point was no one seemed interested at all yesterday and its happening more and more. Reading some of the replys maybe there were one or 2 more poor performances then yesterday ha,ha so I will take that back and place it in the top 10.
Ref encouraging support I think I tried more then most last season without mentioning the dreaded word ? most will know what I mean, we take 2/3k away and its brilliant most matches, we come back home spread a good few of them around COM's and it is dead in the water. For those saying Newcastle mid-table no interest etc etc shouldn't be an excuse, there were 2000+ there to have a good banter with but it never happened. Its strange but when we get 35k for a cup game it can seem better, is that because fans that would like to be in the singing areas get a chance to go there and we get involved more?

Look, it wasn't even in the Top 100 of bad performances in the last 37 years, not even close.

Stop it.
101....Stopped :)

If you're struggling to remember a worse performance than that in your so called 37 years of watching City then I'm going to suggest that you're a liar and haven't been watching them for that long ;-)....not struggling to keep up your "piss poor" quality of posts mind
I would put my record of following City against yours any day mate and blow you out of the water believe me, ok maybe Mansfield comes a close 2nd or even York away, Leicester at home weds night in Aug 75 if you can remember that far back, Liar I am not, City fan I am, If you are happy with that today I guess you are 15 in your first season following city and shouldn't be up this late.

im a better city fan, as ive been to more games than you bollocks.

*Great!!!! How matture!!

it's ridiculous isn't it.

Why all the "I am a bigger City fan than you" Bollox and why compare home support with away support?
We all know that we could play more exciting football but its a results business and we are certainly getting those right now.
City 2nd in the Premiership! If you had told me that would be the case even 4 years ago I would have laughed in your face!

Away support will always be more vocal due to the tribal nature of fans, "we are in your town and we are going to let you know it" kind of thing. Add to this all the vocalists at COMS dont bunch together in two or three blocks like at away games and you have your lack of atmosphere - IM0!

So lets enjoy the ride people and stop bloody getting at each other FFS - CTID

empty seats, only the little singing section really giving it welly(occassionally the SS), maybe it's time people accepted what our fanbase is now.

What is it then, apart from bigger than it was before?

Agree with where you're going on this DD. In my opinion the atmosphere at COMS is as good as it's ever been. Dont understand why some people feel the need to come on here and criticize fellow blues all the time. The atmosphere is better than plenty of other premier league grounds. Everyone is patting the Geordies on the back. Have you ever been to St James' Park in the last 5 years. You can hear a pin drop. And lets not have any of this misty eyed nostalgia about Maine Road either, it was like a morgue at times with fans tearing in to our own players. Very little has changed, including our fanbase.

If a band is allowed into the ground I cannot be held responsible for my actions.

The same applies to music being played after goals.

There's this misty-eyed memory of Maine Road being a couldren of noise every week, where we we all put our arms round each other and applouded the team off every week and gamely went for a pint with the opposition fans.

It's a load of old bollocks and you're right, some of our fans seen detirmine to do down our own supporters these days.

Nothing's changed at all. It's mainly the same people week in week out as it was then, with a few additions of course.

The ground has shit acoustics and the location of our singing fans affects the atmosphere.

That's it. We haven't become "shit fans".

EDIt - sorry I just realised your last sentance is exactly what I typed in my haste to agree with you!
