Of the top seven in the Premier League we are the only team with only league points to fight for as all the others have at least one other competition to play for.

Now is the time for us to push forward.

Unfortunately I personally don't think the Manager, Coaching Staff and Players are capable of pulling it off.

Until we have a more balanced squad then i personally don't think we'll do as well as we could have, considering just how open it is for that 4th spot.
This isn't a doom and gloom post though as we're obviously going in the right direction, it's just going to take a little longer than we'd hoped.

Just like Hughes was accused of doing it, Mancini has also now failed to take advantage as far as i'm concerned. We had 2 games in hand, and if you want to finish 4th you HAVE to win those games. Saying 'a draw at Stoke', (as i've heard loads on here), is a good result is not thr mentality to have if 4th is to be obtained. We had a real chance to put a cushion between us and 5-7th, but we failed. I think this proves we are not ready as a club or as a team to finish that high just yet.

We may not have took advantage but Mancini has got us closer to the top four than we were when he took over. Does that mean we're going to finish top four? Of course not, but it does mean we've still got an excellent chance. Drawing at Stoke doesn't mean we're not good enough to finish in the top four it just meant that we could have opened a bit of a gap and failed to do so but it's not the end of the world

Theres still plenty to play for and theres no reason why we can't finish 4th because lets face it the teams around us are hardly in great form are they?

A draw at Stoke isn't a great, or even good result. But neither does it define whether we are good enough for a top 4 spot or not.

No, they're not in good form but Liverpoo have the experience of what it takes to 'cross the finishing line', whereas we don't. Ok, Mancini has experience of winning, but other than Adebayor, Tevez and Toure, none of our squad have that winning experience to draw on, (i'm sure Lescott was not at Everton when they did it). Tomorrow will be interesting and a result there could spur us on and to be honest what withthe cole and JT shit going on, its as good as any time to play them.

I don't think Everton can make 4th at this stage, but they could well be in the mix for 5th, 6th or 7th so could well have an effect on our overall league position unfortuately.

Everton have left it to late, theres 4 teams battling for 4th and Evertons not one of them.

Everton are playing Spurs on Sunday that should be interesting!

Supose a draw is the best result for us!!

Dont want the bin dippers making up anymore ground on us!
