We're still favourites - WHY?

Without passion and fight we will win nothing, Even with the best players. Unfortunately passion and fight are lacking, in lorry loads.
As is support and backbone by some of our so called supporters.
Lets give Pellegrini the season, if he can't cut it then so be it but let's not write him off this early. We've dominated most domestic games this season without success but that can hardly be the managers fault 100% can it?
I'm all for a good witch hunt, I even went to Goodison today so I could continue my vilification of Gareth boooooooooo Barry , but on this occasion I'm holding my water.

Who's blaming Pellegrini?
We displayed the same lack of these qualities way before he came on the scene.

See page one.

I think anything but a win tomorrow and this may change. If we win will our odds shorten?

No. But they will lengthen if we don't.
Maybe slightly but unlike some on here the bookies don't flap after 11/12 games and still see the picture long term. To see some of the comments on here after such a short time are a joke. We are rightly favourites and will win the league IMO. Give Pellegrini a chance and he will come good...and judge him at the end of the season and not now.

Just don't know where this optimism s coming from. Chelsea will win the league because they have a good squad, can defend and have a manager who makes a difference. Arsenal will be second, talented but thin squad. City third, best squad but manager less good than Wenger and Jose. Spurs 4th, I hope.

But we were all told that MP was a 'major upgrade' and he was brought in to iron out and change those faults.
The only change is a suicidal high defensive line and the worst away form for almost 5 years. I'm under whelmed so far.

We'll see...us, Chelsea, rags, arsenal is my top 4....not very original I know but can't see spurs l'pool or arse sticking it out in the top 3.

The bookies are taking the piss.

They have clearly seen signs in our play but no more excuses now.

If we lose or even draw tomorrow then it will be a tall order from there and even the most blue tinted clapper would have to agree with that (they won't of course pointing out that we overcame 8 points in 6 games)

I think to have a chance this year we will have to win at least 17 of our home games as our away form is wank.

Spurs Southampton Arsenal and Liverpool in next 7 games. This will tell us whether we have a chance or not. Luckily 3 are at home.

After 12 games last season we were top by a point. After 38 games we were second by 11 points. So effectively we dropped 12 points to the rags in those remaining 26 games. If we have a run of winning games then we could easily get into, or very close to, top spot. Still a long way to go.

Not with 1 win out of 6 away games
It's the calibre of those opponents who have beaten us that causes me to worry. Many say that City should have won those games and that it was mistakes that cost us, that's all. But the facts remain that City did NOT win those games, and the mistakes were STILL being made in the eleventh game. Perhaps it will all change, starting with Spurs, but if it doesn't, the season will be viewed as a catastrophic failure by supporters at large, and probably by the Board who have authorised heavy spending to pull away from what was last season the trailing pack. If that happens, heads will be on the block, and it won't just stop at the Manager.
