We're still favourites - WHY?

Bookies don't have a sense of humour.
None what so ever.

-- Sat Nov 23, 2013 9:18 pm --

Maybe slightly but unlike some on here the bookies don't flap after 11/12 games and still see the picture long term. To see some of the comments on here after such a short time are a joke. We are rightly favourites and will win the league IMO. Give Pellegrini a chance and he will come good...and judge him at the end of the season and not now.

Just don't know where this optimism s coming from. Chelsea will win the league because they have a good squad, can defend and have a manager who makes a difference. Arsenal will be second, talented but thin squad. City third, best squad but manager less good than Wenger and Jose. Spurs 4th, I hope.
We'll see...us, Chelsea, rags, arsenal is my top 4....not very original I know but can't see spurs l'pool or arse sticking it out in the top 3.
That would be my line up too.

The lack of faith from some on here just beggars belief.

Best 11 maybe
Best person to get the best out of them..far from it.

The end of the season will tell us that, not now.
Seriously mate..we have to win tomorrow. I am quite confident but worse case scenario happens..then what??all for an extra two games in the cl and a few million quid?

Agree 100%.

We have to win tomorrow or we will be depending on Arsenal, Liverpool, Southampton, Utd, Chelsea, Everton and Spurs all having a few off days, whilst we suddenly become Team Consistent.

Progression isn't about becoming a better loser. Getting to the last 16 of the CL is failure if it comes at the cost of being a competitive team at the highest level. And Bayern aside, our CL qualification group is not the highest level. Neither CSKA Moscow or Pizen would be a top four side in the EPL.

They have clearly seen signs in our play but no more excuses now.

If we lose or even draw tomorrow then it will be a tall order from there and even the most blue tinted clapper would have to agree with that (they won't of course pointing out that we overcame 8 points in 6 games)

I think to have a chance this year we will have to win at least 17 of our home games as our away form is wank.

Spurs Southampton Arsenal and Liverpool in next 7 games. This will tell us whether we have a chance or not. Luckily 3 are at home.

I think tomorrow we'll struggle without Silva,I hope I'm very wrong and will accept all ridicule and indeed hatred for 3 Points

Silva being out is a concern. We need a big game from Aguero and Yaya tomorrow.

4 points off 2nd.

Arsenal must start to drop off a little so I'm not too concerned yet. If we;re off their pace come mid Jan then I'll start to worry a little. But if Arsenal keep up their form then you can only hold your hands up and say well done.

Or you can say that our dire away form has cost us any chance of making a serious challenge for the title.

How can you when it clearly hasn't.

I have. We are sat 9 points off top with a game in hand and we have 27 games and 81 points to play for.

Clearly nothing has been lost.

When our key players are fit and performing then we are match for anyone.
