True, but we're competing with the 2012 version of United, not the 2011 one. A quick look at United's away form this season tells you how, given our exceptional home form, we are not top of the league. Their away form has been superb, if not in performances then certainly in points accumulation.

So we've improved significantly.

But so have last years Champions.

Wow we must be so shit not to be easily romping this league lol

We improved significantly, then we took a step backwards and are no better than last season at the moment. It's clear for anyone to see that our away form over the past 4 months has been nowhere near good enough. Look at the entire season as a whole if you like, I'd suggest the last 4 months have more bearing on how we play in our next 4 away games than the first 4 months of the season.

I hear what you are saying but that's not necessarily just because we were great and now we're ordinary. Suspensions and injuries have taken their toll. Other teams have started to suss us out and adapt. The main reason for our stellar showings seems to be suffering a dip in form. Some dodgy decisions have gone against us. African Nations Cup absenteeism, the missing argentinian factor etc etc. All that and the rag barstewards have put together one hell of a run. Given their recent run of form we've done well to hang in there in my view. (City teams of yore would not have won the Chelsea game or earned the point at Stoke).

But I agree if we could find our early season form and style again right now with everything else being equal then there'd likely only be one winner. As it is we're still bang in there anyhow.

I did read last week in an article that we are creating just as many chances as we did but we are not taking them now.

If we took a couple in the first halves of games, I'm sure you'd see the old swagger back very quickly.

I'm finding it quite depressing reading this site at the moment, as it seems to be morphing into RAWK. I suspect some of the negative posters are Rag WUMS, but they can't all be. So many crying like little girls who've had a bad fall in the playground it's pathetic.

Look folks, the very worst that can happen this year is that we finish 2nd and qualify for the Champions League. That position, or better, is something we've only achieved on a handful of occasions in our entire history. We still have a chance of winning the title - the Rags are going to be favourites now, but we are still in the race unlike the rest of the Premier League.

I am also sick of hearing that this player or that is 'shit'. This is possibly the best squad we have ever had. Of course it can still be improved, and some of the players are not as useful as the others, but no one is 'shit', not even Savic. I can't believe that some people want a new manager - whoever comes in will rip the squad up, bring in new players and introduce new ways of playing and training, and it will set us back at least six months, maybe a whole season.

I haven't given up on this season yet, but I've no doubt at all that we'll be challenging again for major honours in 2012-13. Nothing can stop us, except ourselves.

Just seen this. Good Post

With captain Kompany back in our side I believe we can finish the season undefeated
There is no doubt how important he is. We lack composure at the back without him.

Till he gets sent off in the 5th minute on April 30th for a phantom two footed tackle.

thats assuming he doesnt get sent off against arsenal with the resulting 4 match ban , what are the odds of that happening ?

5 match ban for his 3rd sending off! At this stage he'd get a 3 match ban for simply getting 2 yellow cards given it'd be his 3rd red card of the season.
