Just brought back a long forgotten memory...
6 of us went in my dads car, shoe horned in. Parked in a pub nt far from the ground and headed back there after the game. It was a Blackburn pub but we got talking to some local lads who sat with us. after about 2 hours and god knows how many pints these lads turned round and said we better get out because the whole pubs gonna jump us! Rather than get in a load of mither we finished our pints and headed out to the car. We drove the 'back' way home, lots of winding country lanes, we turned a corner to be met by a pub with a humongous city flag draped down one side of its gable end and a few hundred blues celebrating. Pulled in for more celebrations!
I've Often wondered where that pub was/is. Apparently the land lord was a big blue.
Sorry, nt the most riveting story, just my own personal memory of my second best day supporting the blues!
