That is why most go out on loan, exactly the same situation as the vast majority of kids at all the top clubs. it isn't unique to us. As for our massive squad, we've got one of the smallest in the league, it just happens to be filled with quality.

a lot of young players dont go on loan though. i dont think 17 year old foden should tbh. fair enough, but we can make plenty of changes ( no room for kids on the bench). when exactly do they get enough game time or a chance if not games like tonight ?.

Adaptable... but I think we will start like this

Juliet

Danilo. Stones. Ma gala

Sterling. Delph. Sane

Gundagen Yaya Bern

Jesus

Would have liked Tosin or Foden / Diaz to start but can see why they havent with Mangala and Gundogan starting.

Expect Foden / Diaz will replace Gundogan at some point and Tosin probably needs a calmer head beside him in a back 4. Personally would prefer to develop Tosin than give Mangala more time at his expense but its a difficult situation.

West Brom put out a strong side, be interesting to see how much effort they put in though.

Most of them play together week in week out and are solid experienced PL players + home advantage

I hope I'm wrong but I think this is gonna be a lot harder than people think

Hopefully their 7 at the back will do us a favour. Pep's system is basically that successful because it is great against loaded defences so if we can suck the life out of them they should eventually collapse. But without Silva and KdB of course it won't be that interesting. Unless Gundogan and Bernardo will be close to their prime. :) We have relatively nice problems right now...

Not saying it will be easy or not. Just think even WBA have a few missing from what you would call their strong side.
They have all the defensive side of their game in place.

I'm no expert on West Brom's squad but they're all familiar names. Hope you're right mate

Seems my Delph post was a tad unpopular! :)

Stand by what I say. We should be playing kids like Foden tonight, if they can't start in the 3rd round of the League Cup they have no chance.

Given the strength of the West Brom team though, this is almost like an Premier League away game. It would almost be better for them to start against Palace at the weekend than tonight.
