Agree with that and as much as Pep can frustrate, I truly think it’s a personnel problem. He’s got the team barely conceding chances, defending well and although the midfield looks shit; transitioning to attack fairly well. The issue is we’ve had 20+ shots again today and by and large they’ve all been wank. Chances that I genuinely believe I could have scored in the derby wasted. It’s a familiar story. The players just aren’t clinical, Kun aside. It’s a simple answer, but put Halaand and Messi in this starting 11 and we’re top of the league right now.

kdb - produced quality crosses at the end but his decision making is absolutely shocking. plays so lazily, set pieces atrocious
foden - terrible, one of the worst players on the pitch tonight
sterling - uncreative and ineffective
jesus - worst player on the pitch tonight. forgot he completed 90 minutes. never to be found in the box, a striker who's actively trying not to get chances

Summed up De Bruynes season so far, what was he doing?

He has been awful recently, he put in some decent balls finally when we were in added time but for the first 90 minutes his passing and decision making was woeful.

That last ten mins was the Kev of old, getting into that position where he puts crosses in. We’re just not doing it enough.

We need to get going earlier.

Peps a big problem. He’s lost it since the Lyon debacle and he can’t get it back. We should have won yes but the manner of our play is not conducive to entertainment or goals.
He has a hardon for Rodri and gundogan and it is killing us creatively. He either won’t or can’t fix it.

it’s not great keeping by their keeper it’s our useless finishers heading it straight at him.
Mendy and Cancelo absolute dross. Like playing with 9 and we all know the issues with the 2 slow crabs in midfield with the front 3 no where near good enough and woefully out of form.
Top 4 is the realistic challenge this year, this team is spent

Pep, shocking having 2 defensive midfielders against these, made no effort to change the game, made the subs far too late, again. Dreadful.
The players should be ashamed of that performance too, it was like a preseason friendly.
