3 years of poor recruitment and stellar players retiring is now costing us. We don't even look like a team anymore. Back to back season wins we played well as a team and if we were struggling a piece of individual brilliance would pull us out of the shit. All that has gone now. The players look devoid of ideas. Pep looks lost on the touchline and no two ways about it, we are in decline at an alarming rate. I can handle dropping points, it happens. But the way we are throwing points away is criminal. No one has the balls to step up to the mantle (like Toure) and grab the game by the scruff of the neck. No one has the leadership (like Kompany) when the chips are down to get a response. No one has the guile (like Silva) to unlock packed defences. It's a mess what we have become and until the recruitment process is overhauled we will continue to free fall!!

I don't understand the posts on double pivot. We were hardly playing two DMs. Gundogan had a different role to Rodris. This is the role that suits him.

Pep really needs to up his game, this is getting serious...

Should have brought on Aguero at half time not with quarter of an hour to go.
Should have taken off Rodri (who was utterly ineffective) instead of Foden who offered some energy and creativity.
Should have brought on Torres for Sterling (who has been off it all season)

We look a bang average side, cos we have too many bang average players - Rodri, mendy, Cancelo...not good enough.

I think it is starting to look blatantly obvious by the week that Pep is the main problem with this side. No leadership, no direction, slow in the build up play, lacking individual brilliance, square pegs - round holes, no plan B, no confidence. The list goes on and sadly there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel. Let's right off this season as a massive chod!!

The table will look completely different in 3 or 4 games time but it's a real real chore watching us at the minute.

Got a fight on our hands this season, the players need to stop feeling sorry for themselves and start showing that they've got a pair.

Mate unless Sergio keeps fit we're in big trouble. We didn't look like scoring until he came on. His movement makes spaces for everyone else. Our whole season depends on him - and with what we've spent that's scandalous really

We have a serious battle on for the top four, forget anything else. Dreadful recruitment taking its toll.

He does and did it better than usual tonight but quie often they are level with each other.....Gundgan had a good game tonight but he isnt anywhere near good enough for that David Silva role

Maybe someone can help me understand why the pointless Rodri who is supposed to be our record signing is allowed to be on the pitch when we needed one goal with time running out and we had Torres, Bernardo, Mahrez. If that is not cowardice I’d like to know what it is. I mean you are not paying money to use your last sub, c’mon!

Would you see a Klopp needing one goal and folding his arms, remove the blinkers and answer. What about Mourinho?

The biggest problem here IMO is that there is no consequence for being shite. In other clubs there are consequences when managers fail but the gaffer has got his pals high up so why should it matter to him? Perhaps the biggest proof of this point is that he just got awarded with an extension in a very poor performing season. The higher-ups didn’t even think it necessary to wait a little....
