West Brom (h) post-match thread

Jesus will never be good enough to replace Aguero despite the good will he gets for his off the ball runs. He just doesn’t provide a credible threat to the opposition. I genuinely forgot he was playing several times throughout the game. Even in those last 10 minutes he was absolutely no where. Aguero seemed to have no trouble getting into positions though and offered more in that period than Jesus did in the whole game.
 
These forwards couldn't finish a childs fucking jigsaw. Absolutely hopeless game after game.

Get the inverted wingers to fuck, doesn't work, and bring a second striker on before the 80th fucking minute.

Sterling needs to spend more time on the training field on his ahitw finishing and less time with politicals and commercial adverts. Fucking piss poor all season. Mahrez is worse. And Bernardo is worse still. Only winger that looks remotely worth his salt this season is Foden.
 
I tried to be patient with mendy cos injuries are tough and all but holy shit is he abysmal. Two new left backs needed... great ahead of the curve recruitment we’ve got

Foden was as poor as anyone else. Well maybe not as bad as Cancelo and Mendy but still poor. If I’m honest Gundogan is the only player that can hold his head high after that performance. The only thing I can see making a difference is can the double pivot. Double pivot against WBA ffs.
 
Refusing to drop the double pivot when West Brom clearly thrown their entire team in the box. Rodri should have at least went off for Bernardo towards the end.

Subbing off Foden instead of Jesus who did fk all in the 2nd half.

Frustrating, and frankly kinda embarrassing.

Rodri and Gundo were our best players by a mile. Sterling, Cancelo, Mendy, KDB all perforned less well.

2 holding midfielders against West Brom. Only potential creativity was kev who got marked out of the game.

When Gundog is your best player on the pitch you know you have problems.

Midfield wank. What do you do. Wait until the last 15 to make changes then ignore the midfield.

Whatever else Pep does, he needs to find a way to combat teams that play, home or away, 6 - 4 with little or no attacking intent because this is the exam paper we face week in, week out. Fortunately West Brom don't possess the pace and/or the guile of some teams and so didn't threaten other than the, rather fortunate deflection, from which they scored. Nine times out of ten, West Brom lose this game and all references to 'team spirit', 'platforms to build on' are bollocks but, from our perspective, that's a frigging disastrous result.
 
So angry with that.
The only silver lining is their keeper seems like a good normal lad.
That is the only positive I can take out of the evening. How depressing is that?
 
I predicted we would put seven past them. I thought this would be it, when it all clicks.

Might as well put a tree trunk upfront, would offer more attacking threat than Jesus the invisible man!
