Here’s Bernard‘s wandering and wonderful take on the upcoming game - it’s like listening to a good old Blue in the vault.

Go on then, visit that fridge, grab that nice cold can, pull up a chair and be fascinated by the what was and what may be .
Enjoy!

Also, as Bernard helpfully mentions, this game and the following game, v Southampton, are on Amazon Prime.
I wasn’t clued up on that, and the missus has Prime, so take note if you have access already . . or can try one of their free 30 day trials.

Think Laporte will play instead of Dias and wouldn't even be surprised to see Garcia as well. Reckon Sterling will play instead of Jesus and maybe Kev will sit out as well. Missed opportunity for me against the rags to make up a couple of points on others so this has to be 3 points.
Garcia is injured and I doubt Pep will change a CB pairing that has performed so well. Not that Pep is often logical.

Feeling very confident about this. They aren't a good side and I'm sure Pep will let the dogs out against them.

I'm not bothered who plays as everyone of our players are better than theirs.

We will win tonight 7-0.

I opted for a free trial before the Burnley game last season and 12 months later I'm still on it !......been worth it though especially during lockdown.

We should win easily of which a lot will say we have turned the corner again . We are very lucky that no one has pulled away In the league so if we Win our game in hand we are near the top but we now need to quit this defensive approach and start grabbing thebig games and playing our style . Like to see Laporte come in for this one becayse we can do without alienating him further and also sterling needs to dropped but I doubt if that will happen. Time to show the real Man City now .

A good run is being built. If we can only find the balance between attack and defence we will be in business

We are not lucky at all. This is a one-off season with its demands on players and it has taken its toll right across Europe.

Go through the CL last teams. YOu will find a truly remarkable stat: not one of the last 16 are top of their league. Must be the first time ever and not really a surprise when you think about it.

To do that, we need to create about 140 chances.

Unlikely against a parked bus full of hatchet men.

Go and have a lie down.

I'll watch it because it's city but man this feels like a friendly in terms of level of play. They have only beat Sheff!
More looking forward to see if wolves can grind something out against Chelsea tbh

I would actually be tempted to drop KDB and give Foden and Bernardo a chance in those two attacking midfield spots.

Might give him a kick up the arse and realise he needs to start scoring.

Probably have Cancelo and Mendy at fullback as they shouldn't be needed at our end too often.
