I have defended Balo in the past.... But I still have to question Balo over Aguero and Dzeko unless they are both tired from international play.
Bloody long trip back from South America and a big game in the week.

But he is on form. I don't like it when Mancini does that, if a player is on form, let him play.

The worry being WBA are capable of attacks.

He could play Kolarov further forward as a LW and Clichy as a LB.

It doesn't work as a starter, only as a tactical change during the game.

I really hope its Mario who plays through the middle and Tevez wide left, otherwise the Balotelli thread in the main forum will have another 50+ pages slaughtering him by this evening.

As one of Mario's biggest fans it frustrates me that Mancini like to play him wide left as it takes away his strengths and highlights his weaknesses.

The line-up reflects the international break in my opinion.

The ball that pirlo played through to balo was the same montolivo played for him in the euros...do we have a deep lying player that can do that? Questionable.

De Rossi does it all the time at Roma, but for Italy, Pirlo is the main deep creative playmaker.

One can dream of a Yaya - De Rossi partnership.

Hence the ending of my statement. But, let me ask you this question...

Has Balo played better than a tired Aguero?
