West coast of Scotland

Three of the most stunning railway journeys in the UK:

Glasgow-Fort William
Fort William-Mallaig
Inverness-Kyle of Lochalsh.

The western side of Scotland is fantastic for scenery. BTW apart from the above, Galloway is amazing and tends to get overlooked. In fairness, it's an incredibly beautiful country once you get away from the industrialised central belt.
I concur, although I was only about 6 at the time and had the dubious pleasure of listening to a busker singing for his ticket. Mike Harding.....
 
Assynt is stunning, Glencoe if you're fortunate enough to pass through when it's not pissing down coupled with a pea souper, which if you manage that will be better than I've ever managed in my 10 or so trips :/
