It’s the same on paper but I was judging more by the asthetics of their play, which for the bit I watched was abominable. Granted the Mane goal was well offside, so should have only been 3. Probably shouldn’t judge on one game at Anfield though. As someone else pointed out though, it looked as if nobody knew his assignment. Disjointed mess.

I’ll agree it’s too early to say it’s a worse overall start. Let’s see after 5 games. There’s lots of room for improvement. Personally I’m not optimistic.

Pellegrini has a really good record in Spain with teams around the level of West Ham, so he's definitely capable of getting them to overachieve. First game away to Liverpool is hardly a good measure.
