West Ham 2024/25

No. They could have lined up their shortlist then approached their first choice after the sacking. Being photographed with Potter is openly showing disrespect to Lopetegui and is really poor.

But that first choice could take weeks of negotiations, could be in talks with other clubs so you might lose him and so many other factors.
the club has to come first over the feelings of a manager about to sacked with a multi million pay out.
If the media/social media wasn’t such parasites and constantly look to create anger amongst fans then this would be a non story.

No one is naive enough to believe that when a club sacks a manager, that they won't have done the groundwork re having a replacement pretty much in place. But that work will have been done away from the public gaze. That hasn't happened here. Now, I get it; you're biased. Which I have no problem with. We're all biased. But that can't blind you to what's happened here. It's been handled in a very amateur-ish manner

The club should be better organised and plan its changes better. Not the shabby shitshow that your club subjected Lopetegui and the fans to. Lopetegui clearly wasn't a good fit after they binned Moyes. It's all on them. No excuses.

We didn’t bin Moyes, it was the end of his contract.
Let’s not forget in the face of the majority of our fanbase calling the owners spineless cunts for not sacking Moyes after every bad patch - they stuck by him throughout and it paid off - Moyes speaks highly of the owners.

I’ll await to hear from Lop on how he was treated not the usual OTT tidal wave of everyone’s opinions based on media and social media reports - sackings are never nice and I do feel for Lop but ultimately we’ve bough in a new manager and it all gets forgotten in a couple weeks. I doubt our owners are much different to any other clubs in how they deal with managerial changes - Just some clubs are under a bigger telescope than others.

My views aren't based on social media. They are based on facts.

Your club couldn't even be bothered to negotiate with Lopetegui discretely.

So you had a bad run under Moyes?

Moves has been your best manager for years whether you rate him or not. While his contract did run down they haven't exactly replaced him with anyone better yet. They effectively binned him in my view.

You're of course not obliged to agree with me on any of this. Nothing you are saying has changed that view.

I actually wish West Ham fans well and better ownership than you have.

It's interesting that you continue to defend the indefensible, though.

Moyes is probably my favourite hammers manager ever - the European runs and nights are memories that will stick forever thanks to that man.

Did I want him to go ? No, not really. But the fanbase had turned on him the last season, the demand for more expansive football was growing and we were scraping results. It felt right he left when he did, at the end of his contract and with his head held up high for what he achieved, he left on good terms and with the owners who he mentioned had always backed him.

I don’t always defend our owners, GSB have made some awful decisions, got involved to much with transfers that have gone wrong, could have handled the stadium move a lot better and more- but they also get constant hate from a section of our fanbase no matter what and some ‘fans’ and social media etc constantly whip up a anti sentiment against the owners which filters to the stand and turns everything toxic.

At times, I have sympathy for them. They rarely seem able to make proper decisions.

We’ve just had 4/5 years of European Football including a trophy and finishing top 6 twice - we’ve had it good under Moyes and unfortunately we’re are now hitting a big transistional stage - new manager, new coaches and staff , players ageing , end of their contracts and others just not good enough. We need a whole rebuild so will take some time and patience- sadly in todays world fans don’t have that.

Dildo brothers got a fantastic deal for themselves with the dodgy rent deal for the London stadium.

You'd expect them to kick on when the Czech bloke came along to invest. However they seem to be led by people who just want to see a small profit over on the pitch success.

The media like to keep that hush hush, the tax payer is paying 100k per match played there, plus they don't have to pay for any maintenence. It's a bit like how Chelsea never repaid the loan to Abramovich and nobody ever looked into the finances. I'm shocked that West Ham aren't loaded
