Never felt so pessimistic for a new season.

Squad is old and threadbare.

No new signings.

Kudus wants off, who realistically have we got that can do anything? Bowen, that is it.

Not sure about Potter.

6/1 to be relegated.

It’s surprising they are going backwards again. You had momentum from the trophy. With 60,000 every week there is no excuse really when you see progress at clubs like Brighton etc.

Amazed Potter hasn't been backed. I fear he - a bit like Frank who's just gone to Spurs - have made a rod for their own backs by excelling with sides (Brighton and Brentford) who have a relatively low budget.

It makes them appealing to owners of clubs who think they can penny pinch in the market and the manager will still do well.

That West Ham team needs a revamp IMO. They started it by letting Soucek and Coufal - two steady players - leave but haven't then pushed on and replaced them with more exciting players.

Shame, hopefully they do some buying in the lead up to the start of the season. The Kudus fee should help.

Is Antonio still on the books ?
And has he recovered sufficiently from his motoring accident to be able to still to play at an elite football level ?

His contract is up and his a free agent, he come on as a sub for Jamaica.
With his injuries, that crash and 34 now i can't see him doing much as a player for much longer.
However, he's a Hammers legend and much loved.

City are the same odds as the rags to be relegated so I wouldn't put too much store on the markets.

He was found out at Chelsea, where he had funds available to him. Can't blame the owners at West Ham for being wary of backing him.

West Ham wont go down, think it will be two of the three coming up and Brentford.
I'd be more likely to think Wolves, rather than Brentford. Losing Frank and, probably, Mbuemo are big blows for them, though. Hard to look beyond the three promoted sides, though. They all have the look of Ipswich from last season; a championship squad trying to compete in the Premier League.

Leeds are the most likely to survive but it will be a narrow escape.

It will be interesting to see the "Uniteds" mini league next season. Newcastle will finish top and then who knows which order the Hammers, Rags and Dirty Leeds will finish in.

I can't be alone in preferring;

1. West Ham
2. Newcastle
3. Leeds
4. Rags

in that order.
