What was the point of splashing 200m on the academy if you're going to start a RB ahead of one of our brightest talent that is Garcia. Geniunely can't understand Pep sometimes. It's like having pellegrini in charge or even worse

Maybe he thinks Zab is a better player and with his experience is the better option in a tough away cup fixture.

If any youngster is good enough (i.e. Better than the senior players) they'll play. If they don't play it's because they're not.

I don't get this obsession some fans have with picking youth players, we can't afford to lose games while someone learns the game and makes mistakes. Loan them out to a decent side and let them get any fuck ups out of the way to someone else's detriment, then if they start to look good consistently, we'll have them back.

It could be years until the academy produces the next David Silva or someone as good as Alli at Spurs. And if they're not that standard, then we shouldn't oust established proven players for them, because it would weaken the side.

Ha

Would have preferred Garcia over Zab myself. He looked good against Swansea and had good position awareness. Hopefully we get a couple goal lead and sub him in at HT.
