After last week and last night, I’m concerned that we’re going to run foul of some highly contentious decision-making in the next few weeks (what’s new?), but particularly in relation to offside. Norwich were flagged offside 5 times last night, Liverpool 0 (despite the latter doing the majority of the attacking), and some of those calls looked well on. Irrespective of the referee sometimes allowing play to continue to a chance, even when we/another team has possession in a ‘benign’ area of the park, the referee will side with the lines person, stop play, and turn possession over. Sane and Jesus are normally the worst at straying, but if the flag is being raised anyway, it’s going to catch many more. Something to watch today.

The new VAR rule is they don't raise their flag for tight calls, last night they were raising their flags when they shouldn't,it's very specific in the new rules as of PIGMOL site on thursday when i looked at it,Just goes to show that they can still screw teams over when they want to

Ultimately it’s still bent, it’s just a new method.

It was the same last week, too. The media should be all over this if it is repeated across games today and tomorrow. Shalln’t hold my breath.
