This will be tough but I think we'll just about scrape through. 2-1.
Ederson
Walker, Stones, Laporte, Zinchenko
De Bruyne, Rodri, D. Silva
Bernardo, Jesus, Sterling

Bravo, Cancelo, Otamendi, Fernandinho, Gundogan, Aguero, Mahrez
And based on their final pre-season game, West Ham are likely to shape up like this:
Fabianski
Fredricks, Diop, Balbuena, Cresswell
Anderson, Rice, Wilshere
Fornals, Haller, Lanzini

Roberto, Zabaleta, Ogbonna, Yarmolenko, Snodgrass, Antonio, Hernandez

Ederson
Walker Stones Laporte Zinchenko
-------------Rodri---------
-----De Bruyne ----------Gundogan
Bernardo Aguero Sterling

Hello all, where abouts in London will most travelling fans go for a post match pint ?

would not be at all surprised if we start with the same side that began the community shield including Bravo and of course assuming Sane is fit. Pep clearly focused on getting the players he’s had all pre season fit over the whole squad, that surely was done with the start of the season in mind. Should be fine for West Ham who are a dangerous side and will punish us if we don’t take our chances but they aren’t defensive minded so it should be fairly straight forward but it’s a bit of a risky tactic with Spurs straight after, you’d want Aguero and Fernandinho in for that.

Ederson
Walker
Stones
Laporte
Zinchenko
Rodri
Silva
KDB
Bernardo
Sane
Sterling

Jesus replacing Sane if he’s out. Aguero to get 30 minutes from the bench, dinho to get minutes too.

Ederson, Walker, Stones, Laporte, Zinchenko, Rodri, De Bruyne, Silva, Bernardo, Jesus, Sterling
Bravo, Otamendi, Angelino, Fernandinho, Gundogan, Foden, Aguero

Let Sane rest and give Mahrez an extra week of training as his holiday wasn't too long. Going for 4-1 to the Champions.

Bring in Ederson for Bravo and Laporte (if fit) in for Otamendi. These would be the only changes from Sunday for me, let Kun and Gabby have another week's training so they are ready for the Spurs game.

Think the ref will notice if we've got 18 players on the field.

Not sure what you mean exactly, but I wanted to pass on a new "kick-off trick".

The new rule says the defender may receive the goal kick from the keeper inside the box.
The little workaround goes like this (and the IFAB is already asked to adjust the rule again):

the keeper has to take the goal kick from the 6 yard line.
He chips the ball to his defender - while opponent players must stay outside the box -
and the defender heads the ball back to the keeper,
who now is allowed to pick it up, move further up the pitch and throw or kick it somewhere
AND he has several seconds to do so -> time wasting...

Several 2nd and 3rd German league teams have done it already, so be prepared if you watch it in PL matches... ;)

Haha. Will make a mockery of the rule. Expect it to change back then sharpish

I'll take an opening day win - don't care about performances at this stage.

Early season games can be the biggest banana skins of the lot.

West Ham under Pellers will be no mugs, but they're still building.
