Grealish has had a strong preseason apart from the final game of it, where he was ok in below par team performance. Having a guy like Haaland to play off will help him no end. Give the guy a break, or at least let him have a few games before passing judgement.

I respect and agree with a lot of your posts mate. But why does Pep need to give the snivelling **** media in our country anything?
Take your point completely @spacecadet. Hadn’t looked at it from that angle. :-)

EB with blinkered vision regarding John Boy, there’s a novelty! *rofl*. Thanks for bringing me back down to earth. :-)

Supporters are rightly pointing out that Grealish just isn't doing enough to justify his place in the first eleven. Whether people consider that's slagging him off is another matter. "Grealish is fucking shit!" Is slagging him off, saying he's not offering enough on the field is an opinion.

At the risk of sounding defeatist I would take a point here. WHU gave us a hard game last time out and with Liverpool slipping up and Utd hilariously losing defeat today wouldn’t be a disaster. It wasn’t last season v Spurs.

Do think it’s time for Foden and especially Grealish to step up this season.
I don't think the rags result has any effect on us

The defence will struggle at times today. Laporte and Stones can’t come back quick enough.

It is an opinion. Not one I'd agree with to be honest but that's football.

Criticism is fine, even encouraged to fuel debate.....but where warranted.
Exactly. Constructive criticism is fine, to be encouraged if we're honest. Knee jerk reactions, however, add nothing to any debate, and only get other posters' backs up. The amount of reports that come in about OTT reactions is crazy.

The season hasn't even started. How about giving him a few games before saying he doesn't justify a place in the team?

The problem with Jack is that some did not even allow him to bed in.They made their minds up prior to him joining, and they are determined to die on that hill.

This season he looks fitter,he undertstands what he needs to do,and Pep has hopefully afforded him some more freedom.

Give the lad a chance to show what he did week in week out at Villa.

Besides he showed some very promising play in the friendly vs the German rags.

He played well vs Bayern because he had a left footed left back overlapping which let him come inside.

In the shield, like today, he is going to be forced out wide to accommodate Cancelo and he’ll probably be ineffective.

All we need now is a good win.

Come on you Blues.

Liverpool dropping 2 points already, after finishing 1 point behind last Season.

Match Day day 1 might be the difference on match day 38.

Unreal thinking of it like this.
