West Ham (H) Post Match Thread

Nervy victories are tough for sure but at this stage who cares about how well we play on a particular day as long as we get 3 points and we played well.

Imagine Liverpool fans talking about agenda and conspiracies against them and enjoy that thought.

I agree with many on here and many in the pub before the game that Silva and KDB hopeless all season. I'd drop Silva for Foden. Bernado nailed on for player of the season. We badly miss Fernandinho. Laporte and Stones too. So pleased to have won ugly although we deffo deserved to win. We won v Schalke Chelsea and West Ham and not played well in either game which can't be bad really.
What do you mean not played well in all three games, that because we didn’t win 6-0. Utter rubbish, absolutely bossed last night

Yes we did and that's why we deserved to win. They were abysmal managing just one shot. But we were not much better in that respect. There are games we've 'bossed' this season and lost. Last night was frustrating because we found it difficult to hit the target and in the end ended up relying on a penalty to do so. The fans in the stadium were getting increasingly frustrated as the game looked to be passing us by.

The only difference between last night's game and the Chelsea 6-0 game was the quality of the finishing in the first 20 minutes. While we are creating chances there's not a huge problem.

Missing Fernandinho and Laporte is huge.
Not starting Sterling and Bernardo is huge.
KdB and Silva off form is huge.
Tired legs from the League Cup final and penalty's is huge.

And still we created loads and won. Resultwise it looked like a tough game that we only won by an awarded penalty, yet in reality I think we totally dominated, created and deserved the win.

I think tonight shows how much we need sterling and bernado in every game
Considering no fern Laporte stones either it’s a good result
More importantly dippers hammered Watford and only stay one point in front. A win is a win

The criticism this team takes at times beggars belief. There are occasions when it's justified but they're few and far between, and tonight wasn't one of them. Great three points in in a totally dominant performance. What more does anyone want?

A 6-0 scoreline and Mahrez scoring off his left tit.

Playing a parked bus week in week out creates those problems, doesn’t mean we were poor. I think the stats were something like 20+ attempts with 7 on target, so not quite the same as West Ham’s 1 shot.
Last night could easily have been a 5-0 score line, it wasn’t but it was 3 points and we move on.

Yep. We absolutely dominated and conceded one chance all game.

Menanwhile we could have easily scored 5 or 6. To describe the performance as atrocious or clueless is as moronic as it is hyperbolic.

Great effort from a tired team missing some key players. Rest now and go again Saturday.

Good win after a tough week or so. Glad we were playing West Ham who looked halfway to the beach for me already. No threat at all going forward.

The subs changed the game and Mahrez and Sane were rightly hooked.

Still not firing on all cylinders currently and De Bruyne and Silva still not at the top of their game but a win is a win at this stage of the season. Really should be taking more of these chances though. Silva and Sterling should have scored.
