West Ham (H) Post Match Thread

He’s not particularly quick, not particularly skillful, not particularly good in the air, not particularly strong, I’m yet to see what he brings to the party.
He’s 20 in his first season in a new country. And then got a bad case of Covid. He’ll turn out to be a great player for us

Harsh to blame him? It was a throw into a dangerous position and a terrible touch by Serg. Caused a load of players to be caught out.
I agree that Sergio list the ball, and Torres was hugging the touchline, but his responsibility is the RB (Coufal). He not only gave him a head start but also didn’t put the pedal down and coasted into nowhere.

Considering we played away in Europe Wednesday night it was a great result, we have probably had one of the shortest turnarounds between any game this season, with all the travel etc, we are in a great position, Come on City.
Even when Liverpool had a similar turnaround earlier in the season, their Wednesday European game was at home

From Twitter ....hahahaha

Silly to use US$ for this tweet. Spot price for Brent crude oil is the correct measure.

- Sterling 1.06M barrels
- Jesus 0.59M barrels
- Steffen 0.16M barrels
- Laporte 1.23M barrels
- Rodri 1.36M barrels
- Silva 0.94M barrels
- Mendy 1.12M barrels
- Cancelo 1.31M barrels”

My honest view today was it was tough but we got through it

West Ham team is very good & the reason they are pushing top 4 is down to the work Moyes has done

Soucek & Rice have been outstanding this season & Antonio showed again today hes no mug

Add the midweek trip & let's be honest the 19 game streak is starting to slightly wobble when our best 11 doesn't start

Last year we would have lost that game without a doubt

8 don't mind the changes but starting Aguero, Torres & Kev told a story today they were way off it, Kev appart from 1 worldy pass was average at best Aguero miles off it & Torres just cuts a frustrated player who let's be honest just not getting in

Zinchenko was my MOM yoday but not many you can pick from

Kev & Walker for me right now aint 1st choice & the results have proven that

Kev has been miles away from his last few seasons just doesnt look sharpe enough going into the Euro's im little worried he will be fuvked come start of the season

Right now Rodri, Gundo & Berny are my best 3 with Phil, Mahrez & Sterling false 9

This is my best 11 on current form

Eddy
Stones Dias
Cancelo Zinchenko
Rodri
Berny Gundagun
Mahrez Phil
Sterling

I am so exulted because I expected nothing of this game after the first half. I Am actually so fucking happy. It not that we were poor, or slow, we just looked like we really do not care. God forbid Gundo or even Riyad ever had a game like KdB today, this board would implode, even that cross does not give him more than 1/10, injuries or no injuries. He was just awful. And less said about Aguero the better.
Jesus and then Foden saved our ass today, our energy level went up like 900% after both of them were on the pitch and suddenly Rice and Soucek were not able to move around freely. And our CBs.....pffffffff!
wtf - these guys are not machines. I think 20 in a row shows they might care just a tad

Most players struggle first season with Pep and then blossom - see Cancelo and Bernardo and Rodri as evidence so im happy to wait and see. I have (half jokingly) said hes our 2nd best No.9 already.

Probably worthy of it’s own thread this, but our strongest starting eleven is not clear to me. I’d agree with ten of your selection, the question is surely KDB has to be in there, but who misses out for him? Probably Mahrez? Although he’s been playing well recently and definitely makes a contribution when he plays on the right. Tough one.

I've been thinking about this lots, how can you leave Kevin out but that takes away a bit from Gundos game as well.

I’d be our second best number 9 at the moment;). Everything you and others say about it being early days I agree with, I’m just saying what I’m seeing. Sane didn’t always play well but you could see he had great pace, Mahrez didn’t always play well but you could see he had fantastic ability on the ball, with this kid I’m not seeing his strength. Will be delighted to be proven wrong.

I’ve watched back the highlights and it showed Ferran miles off his man so maybe sleeping right enough.

Players get caught out, on the plus side he learned from his mistake in the second half!

As much as I can't stand him, Lingard is playing well he causes us problems today drifting in between the lines and running at us. They are really well organised but then again they will be judged more on playing teams around them when they have to come out of their shape more. That Coufal is a very good player.

Perhaps Lingard playing well , is due to him not being surrounded by the other total cunts which are at the swamp.

It must be quite a contest to show who can be the biggest **** with Pogba, Fenandes and Maguire all vying for the title.
