Checked my trains and they are fine at the moment. I'll be travelling at 2pm ish as will most and conditions are supposed to improve at around that time so what is the problem?

This is the Met Office wind map for 3pm: It would be ridiculous to call it off. The game is in Greater Manchester at 4.30pm.

Peoples' toleration of risks has fallen to ridiculously low levels.

That's for average wind speeds, wind gusts are more like 50mph

I am aware of that. People are rational you know. Not sure the authorities are.

This is the map for wind gusts. It's actually 40 mph gusts at 3pm and declining. So there isn't a good reason to call it off.
