Remember a game being abandoned after 40 minutes of play at Maine road (Ipswich). We were 2 goals up. Battled my way in shit weather on my motorbike.

That was biblical rain that night tbf.

Fair convinced the game will be played. Attendance will understandably be affected but WH fans will be en route (probably well on their way with the weather etc) and I for one wouldn’t mind it being off. A grim, grim game ahead.

.... Sunderland supporters were well on their way a few years back when the match was called off 45 minutes before kck off.

Commonsense could have been used by now to call the game off and to stop fans from traveling.

Why does it take everyone involved to take so long to make an obvious off decision.

Regarding today's game, they should've been releasing a bit of an update via social media or text message. Happy to do it when they're flogging tickets and God knows what else.

Even if it was an 'apologies for the delay, we will have a decision before .....'. The only correspondence has been from unofficial City accounts. There's people travelling from all over today and countless already set off, it's poor form.

The radio silence from the club on this isn’t really helping.

Yes. They should be at least keeping us in the loop about the process ie when are they making a decision. There has been nothing. Everyone else the council, train firms, emergency services are tweeting out updates all the time. The least City should be doing is re-tweeting the official advice. Our Comms operation is slow to react to anything.

No chance of safely travelling from Lancaster and presuming anywhere further North, roads are flooded locally, some places totally isolated as the River Lune has gone over roads, Lancashire Police advising people to stay at home, call the fucking match off to save someone drowing whilst trying to get there please FA/City/Sky/Whoever actually runs the game nowadays
