Im sorry but you been in a coma for 18 months? He’s had a good 45 mins all season (1st half v Forest). “never stops running”…he can’t move. He is one of the major reasons, that our midfield is overrun every week, even against the most mediocre opposition. I love Bernie for what he has done in the past and it gives him a load of credit in the bank but this current version is fucking miles off his previous best. “Is normally an 8” is one of the most bizarre takes I’ve seen on here.
Rubbish.

Everyone has an opinion. Mine, no more or less valid than anyone else. I love Bernie but like many of the team, I don’t believe he is anywhere near his previous levels. That being said, after the original post, I did wonder if I had lost the plot and was miles wide of the mark. I looked at Bernies player performance thread for this season. It makes for interesting reading, especially for someone who is normally an 8. If I have lost the plot, then I am far from alone.

Funnily enough, i look at his performances on the pitch.

And everyone else is watching what?

Personally, I don’t think that the suggestion that Bernie is not at his previous levels, is anything particularly outlandish or controversial. I would expect even Bernie to align with that opinion if asked. Even then, I am not ignorant enough to think that my opinion MUST be correct, so I looked at other posters opinions on his performance thread. From October onwards, it makes for incredible reading for someone who is normally an 8. If he was normally an 8, not only would his thread be overflowing with praise (it’s the opposite), he would probably have had upwards of 10 MOTM on here (he hasn’t) and he would be an absolute shoe-in for winning our POTY (he won’t). Maybe all those people in that thread are wrong though.

As I said, everyone is entitled to an opinion and I rarely call anyone out on theirs. I called the original out, because I found the normally an 8 comment truly bizarre. There’s not a single player in this side, who this season is normally an 8. Gvardiol was for about 2 months and well…now he isn’t. Everyone else has yo-yoed somewhere between shite and fantastic, with very little in the way of consistency. Again, I don’t think this is a controversial take, given what we have seen results wise.

The bit in your original whinge where you claim, ''he can't run,' tells me you must piss about typing on the matchday thread rather than watch the football.

Sav looking a great left sided baller.
Much better than when he is on the right.
Doku and Grealish have competition and need to step up.
Great performance from the young lad.

Savinho for me, Haaland did a lot of running and 2 great goals, I think in a couple of years Savinho could be one of our great players.
