West Ham supporters deserve a mention IMO.

Just like to wish West Ham supporters all the best in their fight for survival. Always had a soft spot for the Hammers, they are a proper club with loyal fervent fans who must be suffering and soul searching right now after being stuffed 5-0 at Forest last weekend, and now at ours 6-0. They kept singing and their sense of humour right to the end. Very similar club to how we used to be not too long back., so fair play to them I say...

Fair play, they were superb. Mentioned this on twitter this morning and had tons of RT's off it. To a man they were great.

Iv always liked West Ham,, What a shame they have Fat Head in charge.

Have you read what he said after the game?

"We are very disappointed obviously, but to look at Manchester City's record at home this season and what they have done to Tottenham and Manchester United, and Arsenal - we knew they had to have an off night and we had to have a really good night from our point of view," he told Sky Sports.

"The fact of the matter was that Manchester City's finishing was outstanding, never mind the build-up play. Outstanding in every sense of the word.

"The fact of the matter was that Manchester City's finishing was outstanding, never mind the build-up play. Outstanding in every sense of the word."

"We have a struggling defensive unit at the moment because of injuries and down on a bit of confidence. We have a left-back [George McCartney] playing centre-half that we got on a free transfer and it is not fair on him playing against Negredo and Dzeko today, but that is how it is.

"We got Roger Johnson who has just come and I thought he did a good job. He did as well as he could even though we got beat 6-0, but that is the problem, we haven't got a fully-fit squad. We are in a bit of hole at the moment and we have to dig ourselves out.

"Now it is not as if they hadn't done this to anyone else, if this was a team we came to and they beat us 6-0 and they hadn't done that to anyone else this season you would say this is not good enough, but we tried our best against a side that has got outstanding players because they play outstanding money

NIce to hear these comments

Have to say you have a amazing team there and great supporters to match it (and thanks for only scoring 6, 7 and the Spurs fans would of had a fun time today)

Hopefully come May we will be safe and can join in your title winning party last game of the season

Good luck in the 4 competitions for the rest of the season

cheers mate best of luck.

'I'm basically a clueless ****' would have saved a lot of time there.

I have a lot of time and respect for West Ham fans. Great support last night although some of them saw their arses near the end, but who can really blame them, as lets be honest their team was absolutely sh!te.

Fingers crossed they can sort this out. First job is to get rid of their useless fat wanky wanderer.

Anyone remember being relegated at Upton Park in about 86? We were all singing "we'll meet again ..." In those days it was quite unusual to swap scarfs etc

I remember swapping scars...:)

Hope you stay up as i missed the game at your place in Oct and can't make it in 2 weeks, I need to go Upton Park one more time before you move.

Will be a dark day when Upton Park closes and all City fans will feel your pain (Maine Road), but on the brightside the take over was partly thanks to our stadium, so you never know it could happen to you!

Yes - me and my mate were quite close to the front. Even the coppers seemed to have hammers badges on. When they came on the pitch I thought it was going to kick off big style. When they came over and clapped us at the end it was amazing. After the game I remember sharing a few beers with them. Total respect since then. Last night felt like role reversal because I clapped them at the end. Great support considering how bad they have been and not much chance of a result at out place.

Good to see them giving YaYa a big round of applause when he went off. On another point, slightly off topic, I was thinking about how far the tentacles of the Scum reach back into history, in the early sixties they paid West Ham a then record fee for Noel Cantwell. I cannot remember if he was tapped or they needed the cash. Some things never change do they? Of course it was money that they had generated themselves and nothing to do with Edwards- one of the original sugar daddies.

For those of us who bother going down to the second leg, it would be great to have some banter - last nights response "You're nothing special we lose every week" made me laugh all day today.
