Watched the highlights again from yesterday and really just do not get it with Kevin Nolan. He looks unfit, lacks concentration, and has seven goals for the season (two braces in that total). Bit of a chest thumper, I appreciate that, but what else does he bring to the team?

Unfortunately they also share something else in common, their all English

Nolan also comes across as a bit of an unsavoury sort, too. Thought he left the boot in on Hart and was trying to wind up Toure at one point as well, completely unnecessary. West Ham were renowned for having players of quality and players of class and he rather tarnishes that image.

He captained us through promotion, top 10 last season and top scorer. hes been brilliant for us overall. however, some games he just hasnt got the legs ... he's a leader on the pitch which we do need but next season i dont think we'll see him as much.

He was given quite a long contract, if I remember correctly, so I suppose you'll retain him until that runs out. Was just surprised at how often he let his man run off him yesterday, even in the first half.

Sky asked Fat Sam about his future at the League Managers Dinner - he got the right ache and stopped the interview. Great move by Sam - that will end any speculation.
