He's dead in the water, shirley? If they were going to keep him on, they'd have said so today, wouldn't they?

Maybe split decissions on the board, maybe waiting on other manager, maybe time to sort out contract ... Who knows !

Hopefully they see sense and keep him.

He's gone mate, I know of one manager that's been contacted already

Wee Davey?

Fat Sam guarantees premiership football that's for sure. The porn brothers and the slag have to think very carefully what they're going to do. Look what happened to Bolton and Blackburn once he got the push. The football is never pretty (bar a season or two with Djorkaeff/Okacha (sps) but players always seem to like him

I'm surprised how much venom he gets from the fans, he got them promoted and they had a good season last year. This season they were hit with quite a few injuries. The football is pretty turd but it's pretty much been that way there for twenty years. Harry and Pardew got them playing half decent stuff but that's about it. Some might say they played decent stuff under Zola and Curbs but it wasn't anything special

Did Nolan light some candles after the match? I see him get subbed off, face like a slapped arse

Suppose the owners have a difficult decision to make. Allardyce can almost guarantee top-flight football, but his football will not be attractive enough or good enough to finish high up the table and add substantially to the existing fan base, which will be needed to fill the new stadium. Drop a division with a new manager, however, and that becomes an even harder task to fulfil.

The thing with it is there's always the media comment about football in the " West Ham" way, we have had the "Spurs " way quoted yesterday and of course there is the Ushited way always mentioned.

Since when have all these fucking clubs had a defined distinctive "way"? What is the "way" ? And if they have had this successful way at some stage they veered away from it,,,,,,, presumably because it wasn't fucking working !!

Lazy journalism - one of them coins a phrase and its then common currency amongst them and becomes folklore overnight

The apathy from the West Ham fans I spoke to on Sunday would be a huge worry for me if I was on their board, they just want a bit of entertainment. I'd say that's necessary with the stadium move too, no way they'll fill it playing that horrendous football.

To be fair, Spurs and West Ham always had a similar ethos, in that they both played football on the deck and advocated pass and move; that was something which can be traced to the early and later 1960s, respectively, and made them distinct from Arsenal and Chelsea, whose football was more robust. With the influx of foreign talent, it has become much harder to maintain such a distinction, to the point that, you are correct, it has become rather hackneyed. The United way always seemed to me to be playing two wingers and playing with pace and width; Barcelona however destroyed that 'way', literally.

Why do neutrals want the dippers to win? What is it - 18 league titles, 5 European cups, god knows how many FA and League cups... hardly a fucking underdog are they Sam?
And all this shit about poor Stevie G... sure he'll console himself with his European Cup Winners medal and his millions of pounds in the bank!

The neutrals didn't. Well, not most i spoke to. More people hate Liverpool than you think.

Fat Sam has been given a stay of execution apparently after giving a presentation to the Porn Barons about how he will make them more attacking next season!

Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall at that meeting!

Gold........"So Sam what are you going to do to make us more attacking"
FS............"Well, im going to get the full backs to hoof it up to Carroll who can then knock it down for Kev to hopefully get on the end of"
Sullivan..."What about a plan B Sam if that doesn't work....."
FS............ "Erm......Try and win a few more free kicks around the half way line so the keeper can hoof it up to Carroll, who can knock it down to Kev"
Gold........." Great Stuff Sam....What about if Carroll is injured"
FS.............."Well I haven't really got that far yet, but im working on it"
Sullivan....." Brilliant Sam, your job is safe"
