West Ham United (A) | PL | Post-Match Thread

Should have been a much more comfortable win but credit to City for going a goal behind and then coming back to take the 3 points. Poor finishing, good goalkeeping and a measure of bad luck kept us from running away with it. City much the better team but a tough test successfully overcome. Doku looks a really exciting player and Ederson made a couple of crucial saves. We looked better with a wide right player be it Foden or Bernardo.

I thought that was a cracking game of football. West Ham are a good side and caused us some problems but we were just superior in every aspect of the game. Doku had a very good game. Haaland may have missed a couple of chances but he kept his head up and took his goal really well. Gvardiol will need a bit of time to get used to the pace of the Premier League and Nunes looks like he needs to work on his first touch but we have clearly had a great transfer window.

Happy days.

What I was impressed the most was the energy and average young age squad after a shitty international. I was expecting a tired player’s performance but no drop on energy level.
Doku was fantastic but needs to track back more or pep will light up his behind .Absolutely electric this belgium flash kid.
Never in doubt.

Alot has been said in the transfer forum for months about Lucas Paqueta.

What did everyone make of his performance?

Personally anytime I watch West Ham he always looks a cut above the rest, I thought he was outstanding again today seriously good player.
I thought he was by far their best player to be honest.

He’s a magician with a manager who has no idea how to use him.

Doku was one of our best players today. He turned 21 several months ago and today was his first away game for City. Sky is the limit.

15 shots on target at West Ham! Haaland should have scored 3. Alvarez was excellent. Rodri's best midfielder in the world.
