West Ham United (A) | PL | Post-Match Thread

Great 3 points

I'd say that was our winners mentality that got the win, rather than the performance. A lot of the players not at their best but it happens sometimes.

Thought Doku was excellent, certainly offers us a different look.

All in all, it's a very good win. The reality is we're not just going to steamroll the rest of the league with ease, these teams are stacked with good players in their own right. It won't be the last time this season we have to really fight when we're not at our best.
The more challagening to get a win the more sweeter the win is. Team just giving up or lying down like they used to for Man United under SAF was kill joy tbh. This was hard earned win and motivated Haaland is problem for opposition teams.

Loads to like there again, with a few bits to improve. Enjoying the slightly more chaotic edge to our football in the final third, think we could be very fun to watch in the coming months. Pep could do something special with this lot and we've all of a sudden got the spine of a squad for another five years.
We got to embrace the chaos in our game. Seriously the game was thrilling watch and always felt like we had it in our locker to make something happen despite the misses

I feel Fulham’s first half game was by design with chaos in our game. It was shock to the system for fans because we are. It used to it but it seems like it is by design if anything. Pep slowly letting go of control and we are different team all together. The football is exciting!

Really do hope that Paqueta is ultimately cleared and we can sign him. Incredibly strong player, both physically and technically, and he’d flourish in our midfield. Silly, silly boy if the allegations are true.
The flair factor goes up with Pacqta and Doku joined the team. He is special player and I hope it works out too.

Extremely impressive performance and result against a belting side.

Magnificent mind set to come back from 1-0, showing the lads are still hungry and want more success.

Doku was superb. So exciting to have a winger who actually runs at full backs and puts them on their arses. Going to be a proper cult hero. Also allows Jack to play elsewhere and cause different kinds of problems for the opposition.

When we get Kev, Kova and Stones back it’s game over for the other teams.
When the doubled up on him you know he was doing everything right and just what you need to create spaces for Haaland if he didn’t miss as much today he would be raking in those goals. Very promising to see.

Everyone was very happy for Doku goal and Rodri kept finding him and has the trust if the team already. You can see their reaction to his goal it was sweet to see.

Erm, no, it doesn't - should have been a booking once the ball went dead.
"If the referee plays the advantage for an offence for which a caution/sending-off would have been issued had play been stopped, this caution/sending-off must be issued when the ball is next out of play. However, if the offence was denying the opposing team an obvious goal-scoring opportunity the player is cautioned for unsporting behaviour; if the offence was interfering with or stopping a promising attack, the player is not cautioned."

I agree with nearly everything but I think you underestimate the performance - we still had 15 shots on target and getting on for 30 shots overall, and if their goalie hadn't had a worldy, we'd have won by 5 or 6. That's the first time this season we've had so many chances, and it was away against a difficult, unbeaten team. Couldn't have asked for much more, performance-wise.

No doubt Doku is in for a bollocking from pep. But he's going to tear fullbacks a new arsehole this season. We dropped points away at West ham last season so a difficult game,
Alveraz, walker,Eddie,Silva,Doku,Rodri and Akanji all had very good game.
Is it to early to think about maybe scoring away from home at Spuds this season?
We might get a goal away at the Spuds ground but we need to plan to play for at least 120 minutes (their goals against Sheffield today were in treble Fergie time).

The mad thing is that we could have easily scored another 3 or 4 in that game, West Ham are a good team and for us to go there without KDB, Grealish and Stones speaks volumes.
Plus Kovačić and Aké who would also both make our best XI stronger.

there were plenty of legal ways to watch, just that they are not advertised.
