West Ham United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Said it before, I'll say it again. Semenyo should not play at the 10. He has no touch and his dribbling is woeful.

I'm not sure anyone else's opinion on this but at around the 60th minute - we looked gassed.

League is gone. CL is gone. Let's focus on taking two cups and denying Tarquins any more glory that they otherwise don't deserve.
Even a manager, sacked by Middlesbrough realised that playing players in their proper positions improves a team. Rags were a joke before then. We are a mess with square pegs in round holes. Semenyo was bought, started on fire and now playing him out of position also.

There is one fundamental understanding across fans of all clubs - football style can have 4 iterations from best to worst -
Play good football and win -- City centurions to Treble winners, Pep's Barcelona. Jupp Heynckes and Kompany's and Pep's Bayern
Play bad football and win - Most Jose teams and City's 4th title in the 4 on a trot title wins
Play good football win some lose some - Wenger's arsenal and De Zerbi's most teams , Hansi Flick's Barcelona
Play bad football and lose/draw -- This is the worst form and this is where we are right now. The football is insipid from last 3 years and if you start losing matches you know something is fundamentally missing from the team.

This team bores the hell out of me and then they dont win very often now. I feel this stage is where deep introspection should be done about the future of the manager and its players.

How much more do we need to suffer in order to replace Josep Wenger? Arsenal fans had to do it for 12 years before they realized he was overstaying his welcome during that time, hopefully we do it after 2. Hopefully.
You think you are suffering in some way challenging for the title and still in every cup competition??, you don't know your born lad.

I'd argue that the poster meant the horrible style of play. Id rather see Cherki being creative and have that license to try things and entertain us and we still draw than what we saw last night.

We've had 18 months now to come up with a plan against teams that whack 12 men behind the ball - we still haven't figured it out because we're not allowed a Plan B. You can tell from minute one it's going to be a long game but tactics don't change. It's hard to watch.

He was only player trying in first half

This is the sort of mental thing that gets on my wick

Like, not only thinking, but then typing, that 10 footballers in the best league in the world, playing for one of the best teams in the world, dont try

It takes a special sort of person to come up with that conclusion

I will give you that on occasion, it will be true that a player isnt putting his all in, but to sit there and conclude that 10 of our players in the first half last night didnt try, fucking hell mate, thats some mental stuff

I still don't see our current season as "suffering " anything as a fan.

Just where we are now as a team! Ne interested now how Arsenal behave because homely if they throw this title away from this position it’s up there with the rags one!

The season as a whole - we're still as of today in all competitions and technically not out of the title race, so I'd have to agree with you on that.

I just can't cope with the slow sideways backwards buildup when we have fast wingers and Cherki/Foden in the middle. It doesn't make any sense and it's not worked for 18 months now.

Suffer!? So you’re a new fan then? Fair enough you’ve seen nothing but success! But as a football fan it’s mainly suffering! Arsenal been suffering for 22 years rags 13 years Chelsea 9 years!

Wake up and smell what real supportmof a football club is about! It’s mainly suffering for longer than 1 season..
