West Ham v City FA Cup post match

The biggest difference between last night and other games is - we actually took our chances!!

If we did the same against Chelsea etc our performances would have been seen as fantastic and there would be no flapping on this site.

People forget that Chelsea had the best chances in the first half and city did not have a shot on target from a city player. We would have been 2-0 down at half time if Chelsea took their chances in this magical taking chances world, and it would have been a different game yet again.

Great result - long night driving back but made better by the style of the win - Highways agency want shooting. off to see PNE v Arsenal shortly - hope they knock out the gooners

Great game. What more could you ask for?
Zaba running forward to great effect, another unstoppable Yaya penalty, a killer flick from Agüero, John Stones' first goal straight from the corner and Silva pulling the strings, scoring in style and deservedly motm.

Well said mate. Best part of 5,000 Blues cheering on tue lads who delivered a tremendous display of attacking football. Credit too for Willy C on keeping the clean sheet.

What does shots on target have to do with anything? De Bruyne hits the post from an open goal - it's not a shot on target, why are you pretending it's not a chance?

Chelsea did not have any big chances before half time either so that's not true either.

The facts are simple - if both teams took the chances they were expected to, we'd have won 4-2.

The chelsea forward went round the bravo in he first half yet there was not a shot, so your flawed opta thing didn't count the clearest chance of the first half. Then that affects the rest of the game. Playing a hypothetical guessing game is not factual, it is a shocker even by bluemoon standards if you think it is a fact.

Biggest single takeaway from that, for me, as several others have said, is Zab in that position. He looked comfortable, sharp and fast. Sagna, meanwhile, was doing everything that could possibly be expected of him in the right back position (and then some). So I'd definitely stay with that while Ferny's out. Stones needs to wake up – it's one thing to be calm on the ball, it's another to be downright negligent. And it's not just his inexplicable stand-off from the Hammers player. His passing was poor in the first half. Raheem is absolutely coming into his own, and is a huge prospect for years to come. Finally, I found KDB pretty quiet, and I really wonder if he's most effective playing in that position.
What more can be said about Silva that hasn't already been said? I've noticed it before – when other players who've move on from City, or those who've just arrived, are asked to mention another player that they're in awe of, it's Merlin, almost every single time. Dzeko recently talked about him as being the best player he's ever played with, and Sané said much the same thing. I had hoped that Gundogan's arrival meant that he wouldn't be overplayed, as he certainly has been these last few seasons. Well, that's gone out the window. But I still think that Pep should find a way of playing him only once a week, if he possibly can.
Yaya – don't you just love seeing him smack those penalties into the corner of the net again?
Oh, one other thing: away support, take a bow. You were really, really noisy and it came over loud and clear on the telly.

You said everything I want to say!:) Thought KDB played better than he had in recent games. Everyone was brilliant last night and I just love that.
