Nope, Southgates played a massive part in Englands achievements - let’s not forget according to most our players are ‘full of rags and all sh*t’ … that aside, tactically he may not be the best - but he has bought in youth and moulded them and bought in much cohesion and unity.
It will be his last tournament and however we do - he will be remembered as a very good manager for England
And was only a penalty shootout away from winning a major tournament. Has always been dignified and like many a manager has to take the blame when the players don’t do the business. Got more out of Raz in the last two seasons than Pep did.
 
Getting home from the game now. I thought Sweden were better for the first twenty minutes or so, there were ten minutes where both team struggled, but the second we got the first goal looked pretty comfortable except for that big save at 2-0. It's a touch worrying that England have needed to score or concede before they fully relax, but deserved it overall. Third was so cheeky, you love to see if, and then they keeper just looked broken for the fourth. Fair play to the FA, back to back men's and women's finals is an achievement from where the national team was five or six years ago.
