We've got enough....

This...........16 weeks left on a contract. Would you be flying in to 50/50. Not moving now will finish Sanchez and wenger.
Wouldn't be shocked if he just got a bad back and never played again.

If they wanted to keep him now & expected him to do his job, then the solution would have been, to immediately tell City to fuck off & that's that til summer.

If they have entered into negotiations, then they have to see it through. They can't expect Sanchez to just lie back & take it if they mess him around now.

I don't think the implication is that Sanchez will be finished mentally due to going through two failed transfer negotiations, but what harm staying might do to Arsenal.

I think Wenger knew he was going to likely have to sell this window, he was just being stubborn to make a point about players who do this and believed he could still maintain Arsenal's performance levels enough this season with and without Sanchez.

If Sanchez stays at Arsenal till the summer they still have half a chance of qualifying for CL which is what they need. Selling Sanchez isn't an option surely for Arsenal If they got any ambition for the rest of the year surely Sanchez staying is a must for them. I'll be happy to see him in the summer. Even then I still can't see it happening for some reason.

He doesn't want to stay at the club and the clubs ambition might be only a part of it.

They are better off letting him go in January as we will offer them a fee that for a player with 6 months to run on his contract and can sign up for free in the summer with whomever which he will do anyway is in their best interests.

Once a player wants out its best to cut ties with him even if he is still playing good football.

The relationship with the other players while important is not as vital as to whether the player wants to stay at the club or not.

We see it time and again and Wenger has been around long enough to know when its time to move on a player.

Things won't get better at Arsenal on the field until the owners and Wenger move on.

A club hoping to be word's best had better believe that they never have enough.

Your rivals are right behind you. Improve each season or very likely fail to achieve as much as you would have if you'd upgraded your players.
=====
As far as City goes, the quintessential manifestation of failure to improve leading to reduced performance is likely Mancini's last with us. Our marquee signings that season were:

Javi García
Matija Nastasic
Jack Rodwell
Scott Sinclair
Maicon

none of whom are still in our side, whereas Mancini was pressing management for major upgrades wanting:

RvP
Ibra
T. Silva

Exactly. Also could of had Sanchez, or Hazard if we’d paid the agents fee.
Doesn’t even need to be expensive. Goretzka and Can are available on a free. Gimenez is available on a free. We make no money selling players so might as I don’t know why we don’t go for quality young players when their contracts are dying down.

Griezmann (£88m) for Aguero (£60m).
Bernard to join on a free.
Fred (£45m) for Yaya. (£0m)
Tah (£30m) for Kompany. (?)
Hernandez (£45m) for Mangala (£15m).
Maffeo (£0) for Danilo (£15m).
In - £208m
Out - £90m
Net - £122m

16 foreign spots with someone possibly for LB but would have no issue with Delph as back-up.

Txiki out, @JimmyGrimble10 in!

Agree, and the CB for this window is a must. If otta or JS get injured for a few weeks we could be bollocksed. Kompany is sadly finished and Mangala patchy at best.

A center-back this window, and then a young CDM and maybe a forward in the summer

I think a LB might also be needed.

Mendy first choice. Delph is a very solid second choice and Zinchenko is unlucky to be just third choice imo. Plus, on top of all those options, Laporte can play LB while Danilo is a last resort option

Thought I would bump this as it applies again this coming season

Use gungogan as the dlp where he excelled last year against good sides as well

We have also added Mahrez and discovered depth in the squad that we thought wasn’t there last year with Delph and Zinchenko

Not signing Jorginho will free up more minutes for Foden by moving Ilkay back

Champions again for me, the only worry is the first game away at Arsenal where will see a scratch side against a new manager bounce

Still think we might sign a midfielder even though it looks like City are saying we are done.

I also remember Ahsan on 93.20 saying Bravo was going so, if that’s true, he needs replacing.
