WFA Cup - Aston Villa A - 19th March 18:00.

Agree, but I also think our recent recruitment has been poor. We’ve let world stars leave and replaced them with lower level players. We need to go after top players to get back to where we were.

But will we be able to sign top players whilst Taylor is the manager, is the question which needs to be asked ?

Trophyless season more than likely now after Chelsea end any chance of us winning the league next weekend. We're simply not good enough defensively to keep them out. They'll have to have a huge off day for us to win. I fear the standard 2 - 0 defeat against them.

Villa are a mid table side and have beaten us twice this season effectively putting us out of 2 competitions. In a 12 team league every game against the also rans is very important. Although theyve imoroved AV are also rans. It's not good enough.

Rags will likely finish above us so no European qualification either. They've overtaken us within 3 years which is piss poor on our behalf. We've properly shit the bed this year.

Well probably end up with the golden boot in men and women's league and win neither league. (Not given up on the mens just yet but I fear the women are just about done). Senior management for womens team need a re-think and a different approach somehow, whether players or management.

Nice of the BBC to finally acknowledge the game was played as they ignored it live but now have a report up. I see we had our usual poor finishing from the stats, 19 shots, 3 on target

First half and extra time, were worse, we should have won it in normal time second half.
One of those days where good chances would have been put away by any team in the WSL. Villa seem to have the measure of us this season - one draw from three games, and I suspect that had we taken half of the chances created we could have won all three!

forgot all about the game yesterday,

sort of sums up how I feel about the Women's team at the moment, Ok we had a bad early season and players stepping down from the game and players leaving, So results were poor and Questions were asked about the manager, But we have recovered and doing really well in the league, But without bunny and the goals I think we would be in very deep trouble,

So for me, it's a hard watch at the moment and we are not playing the style of football we had for years years, its all about hitting and trying to find bunny, and it's very slow and boring if am honest, pretty much the sound of the game yesterday

Considering just how much of the team has changed from last season to this I think the style of play has been quite similar. What we are currently lacking are goals from sources other than Bunny. I think yesterday's was only Deyna's 2nd all season and Hemp & Kelly have seemed to dry up in this regard too. I also think that Kelly seems to be playing for herself too much and not the team. Taking shots when there is very little chance of scoring instead of passing to potentially better placed team-mates. I think those of us that did watch yesterday were surprised when she wasn't the first one substituted.
