What’s your favourite individual best season from any City era

Yaya 2013/14 I think it was. He was the best midfielder in the world and right up with Messi and Ronaldo in terms of the best player in the world. I don't think KdB comes close to Yaya at his peak.

He was a big game player and I've lost count of big goals he has scored for us. Left foot, right foot, dribbling, passing, penalties and free kicks. He literally had the lot.

And to think he played central defence for Barcelona once!!!

Loved his lazy , languid style then he would burst into action half a dozen times a game and the points were in the bag world class.

SWP 04/05 - Made us a fair wedge off the back of that season. Got Samaras

Elano 07-08 - What a player, exactly the kind of player we could do with right now.

Ireland 08-09 - Newly taken over, splashing cash(Robinho, De Jong, Jo and Bellamy) yet it was the academy lad that shone the brightest and then fizzled out just as quickly.

Tevez - 09/10 a city player scoring over 20 goals in a prem season.

Yaya 13-14 - getting like 6 goals a season for us then Pellers bought Dinho and took the shackles off...WOW

Yaya 2013/14 stands head and shoulders above any individual in any era who's ever pulled on a City shirt.

The best player I've seen at City in my 60 years of watching. Only Colin Bell and Carlos Tevez come anywhere near Yaya.

There was something very special about that period of Hughes coming to an end and Mancini taking over. Bellamy at his absolute best and smacking a rag who ran on the pitch. His two goals in that derby where we would still be playing now if they didn't score. De Jong. Tevez. It felt like we had an edge to us and you could really feel it in the stands, there was a connection and an emotion. Then of course we got David Silva, Balotelli, Aguero, Toure.......special times

The season he really became a cult hero. After promotion v Gillingham in '99 there were many blues who doubted his abilities to perform at Championship level. Think it is sometimes forgotten that he was something of a boo boy in his first year or so with us. Showed great character to become an iconic player in our history.

I remember me and my dad slagging him before a game v Charlton. Scored a hat trick I think. Including a particularly comical lob where he tried to smash it and the mishit looped over the goalie

*That's how I remember it. Might be a combination of games forming one memory there!

The best thing about Yaya was the control. He was head an shoulders the best passer in the league so would gas teams out with that. And then he'd turn the afterburners on and was unstoppable. And the free kicks. And that frankly absurd goal in the League cup final. And the goal v the rags. And the goal in the final.
I miss him.

I remember the goal against Charlton.on forst viewing it looked like a Ball over the top and perfectly timed volley into top corner....half time replay showed it was indeed a ball over the top but the ball came off the outside of the shin below the knee. Still they all count.
