Konakali in Turkey. I booked a fully inclusive 2 weeks holiday for my girlfriend and myself through a Kazakh travel agent, I was working in Kazakhstan at the time. The hotel was full of Russians and Eastern Europeans, I was the only Western European there. The drinks were names I have never heard of and tasted horrible. When we arrived we were allocated a pool side room, which was nothing more than a converted garage. After a lot of argument we were moved into the main hotel.
The food was terrible and the behavior of the guest was worse, you would think they had never seen food before, they queued up for the opening of the restaurant doors and made a beeline for the best stuff and piled their plates so high it was impossible for them to eat half of it never mind all. If you were 10 minutes late all the good stuff was gone and only scabby fish was left. In the afternoon they brought cake out to the pool bar, again the queue started early and the first ones there piled their plates so high it was impossible to eat all of it, after 5 mins only crumbs were left.
There was also a game of banging the room doors and shouting "Russia" at the top of their voices, very strange.
The sun loungers round the pool were taken very early so we ended up going to the beach most days and paying for loungers there.
Needless to say we ate out every evening, so paying for a fully inclusive and being hungry and thirsty all day we I ended up paying for evening meals as well.
I will never go to a hotel that is 100% Russian guests again!!
