This is an excellent video. Watching it live it all seemed quite a leisurely, elegant, smooth build up but this gets across the pace, athleticism and effort the players are putting in without appearing too. And as you say, "What a goal".

We tried to do that against Madrid in the first five to ten minutes last season but they didn’t really come out at us apart from VinJr and Rodrygo, the rest sort of hung back and we took the sting out of the atmosphere because we weren’t right at them from the off like the year before.

It’s a fine balance between those who’ll press and those who won’t, some teams will be happy to just let us keep the ball in our own half.

It’s a lovely goal but the defending (at every stage) is absolutely fucking diabolical for a team playing in the CL.

I think it is the way forward in bringing the other team to us and then open them up at the halfway line or putting Haaland in over the top, Haaland running at defenders scares the living daylight out of them. Plus he can hit the ball and score from 30 yards.
