What a goal

I like this 2nd clip because it shows the crucial role Akanji played in making it possible. Our best goal so far this season, nothing will change my mind.

If we didn’t concede first in half our games, maybe we could do this more!

Fabulous pair of clips . Thank you. Love it that Haarland strikes the ball just when Nelson Riddle kicks in with the big band . All starts with Akanji playing mind games at the back .

We tried to do that against Madrid in the first five to ten minutes last season but they didn’t really come out at us apart from VinJr and Rodrygo, the rest sort of hung back and we took the sting out of the atmosphere because we weren’t right at them from the off like the year before.

It’s a fine balance between those who’ll press and those who won’t, some teams will be happy to just let us keep the ball in our own half.

It’s a lovely goal but the defending (at every stage) is absolutely fucking diabolical for a team playing in the CL.

The gulf between the two teams if chasmic.

Lots of talk about the Haaland Kung Fu goal, but this was a thing of beauty.
Make sure to turn the sound on.
Beautiful timing of the music on that clip.

I think it is the way forward in bringing the other team to us and then open them up at the halfway line or putting Haaland in over the top, Haaland running at defenders scares the living daylight out of them. Plus he can hit the ball and score from 30 yards.
