What are the worst parts of Manchester?

The absolute arse-end areas of our great City that you try to avoid even driving through?

We'll allow anywhere within the Greater Manchester boundary as i'm sure there'll be plenty of nominations for certain bits of the other City...

Three stand out, for me...

3) Little Hulton

2) Wythenshawe

1) Harpurhey

I live in Moston and I don't see what's appalingly bad about it. Sure Moston Lane is a shit hole, but that's just one street.

Harpurhey as #1 is even more harsh.

Longsight is the most oppressive place I've ever lived in. Experienced everything from racial abuse to fireworks aimed at the windows around Guy Fawkes Night. We were 6 Students in total and subsequently the most hated people in the area!
