What are you watching on youtube right now?

When watching a video to the end, sometimes boxes appear for other videos obscuring the video that hasn't even finished. They don't even seem to be added by the content creator.
I pay for premium, so it's not an advert thing.
How do i get them to go away so i can finish the video?
Is there a setting i need to click on, or a button that clears them?

I can't see a way to do it mate, youtube are incredibly intrusive without an adblocker that works, worse than that the sound ramps up when an advert pops up more times than Australian TV.

This is what youtube has to say about it.

You cannot directly block the thumbnail ad boxes on YouTube that appear at the end of videos. These "end screens" are added by the video creators and are not something YouTube allows users to disable. However, you can disable the video previews (thumbnails that appear when you hover over a video) through YouTube settings, according to a YouTube guide

As someone that's suffered from some bad alcohol withdrawals, this is terrifying. That curly haired guy is like the Addict-Finder General.

Watch on brave browser

He means the annotations baked into the video by the content creator mate.
I wouldn't mind if they were when the content finished.
Some videos have "content" blocked by them. That's why i thought it was Youtube.
If the content creators are doing them, then that makes no sense. They are blocking their own stuff etc.
One video was showing the results of their testing on a graph. The graph was blocked by the annotations!
At least i know there is nothing i can do. So cheers!

Now on to why the "volume" of content varies so much. Not just video to video, even scene to scene.
Suppose that's just due to bad video editing :)
I watch mainly at night. I don't sleep too much etc. I just have to be fast on the volume control.
I tried headphones, but find them annoying.

Any way, back to my video about the importance of sleep...
