What are your earliest memories of football?

Maybe not earliest but it caused a discussion in our house at the time. Neville Southall sat against his posts at half time when they were losing rather than go and listen to his manager Colin Harvey.

Age 6. Watching the FA Cup final City v Leicester at my dad's friends house and us kids were playing footy in the garden and me popping in and out asking what the score was.
The following year, World Cup 1970. Remember a lot about it especially the England v Brazil / W Germany games and the final, wow, even at 7 I was so in awe of the Brazil side (even though at that age I didn't know what being in awe meant ;)

first city game in person for me was a pre season game against Ballymena, we didnt have enough players over with us and Stuart pearce had to get a kit on and go into left back

Sunderland beating City on their way to winning the cup
Also later in 73 Poland's "clown" goalie stopping England from reaching the 74 world cup
Yep those two for me too

3 things, remembering Big Joe being booked for arguing about the penalty spot at The Baseball ground - maybe 1974? Watching The King of all Geordies score the winner in the League Cup - 1976 - Being chased down the alley by my Rag supporting dad (RIP - miss you loads) after Bobby Stokes scored the winner in the FA Cup & I told him his team was shit I was 9- 1976?

Pretty sure the Derby penalty spot thing was 1977.

I've just remembered another - the '75 League Cup Final - Villa - Norwich.
