What are your earliest memories of football?

first memories of football will be West Ham winning the 66 world cup but game on tv I think celtic winning the European cup in black and white comes to mind

Watching the 55 cup final on a tiny little screen in black and white with my dad's mates from the Anson Hotel all stinking of beer.

I managed to get used to the smell of beer in later years.

Being dragged to Ewen Fields for a night match is my first memory of watching it live. I remember being stood near the lane and getting covered in mud after a sliding challenge. My first game watching City was against Ipswich around 86. Treated to sit in the North Stand for my birthday behind 2 old dears who spent the entire match knitting and eating sweets.

First game was in about 84. We lost to forest 2-1 I think. I spent the whole game amazed that my seat flipped back up when I stood up. Much to the annoyance of my dad. Also great memories of watching the vidiprinter at my grans house when we beat Huddersfield 10-1. And they had to write ten in brackets to show it wasn't a mistake. Still have the vhs of that game somewhere.

It was 82-83season mate, a relegation year, still remember ripping up my season ticket after Luton and vowing to never go again, that didn't exactly pan out :-)
