What are your earliest memories of football?

1969 FA cup final, my uncle got the first colour TV on the street especially for this match, never seen so many people crammed into a 2 up 2 down in Rusholme.
For someone earlier, we brought the cup home next day & set off from wilmslow down wilmslow road to town. Still got a picture of us little ruffians on the wall in our 20p plimsoles & hand me down duffle coats.

Sitting on those knackered benches in the platt lane end, not being able to see a fucking thing because of everyone standing up.

Mine was the England game v Argentina when Owen scored that goal in 98, city wise was the Wigan play-off semi. I was at Maine road for the first leg (1-1 IIRC) at springfield park and vividly remember city fans basically smashing through the fence to get in the away end.

The world Cup final in '66. I didn't see it as a 6 year old but I recall all the adults shouting and celebrating at the caravan park in Anglesey where we were on holiday.

The first game I attended was the derby in 68 and the first time I ever saw a game on colour television was the FA Cup final in 69.
