What book are you reading now / or recommend?

The Stars My Destination. It's a 50 year old sci fi novel and it's fantastic. Best described as The Count of Monte Cristo in space, but that isn't doing it justice.
If it's half the book the count of monte cristo is then it must be good. Will be giving that one a look as just finished city of mirrors. Was ok in the end, probably the weakest of the three.

You like fantasy? Raymond feist is fantastic, try his magician trilogy first, one of my all time fav series of books.
I concur, The Riftwar Saga (Magician. Silverthorn, and Darkness at Sethannon) is a fantastic trilogy. If you do buy Magician, make sure it's the English version. The American one was released as two separate books.

If you want to stay with sci fi then either The Forever War or Old Man's War. Both of them are very good reads,
The Forever War looks good but there's two different ones.

One by Dexter Filkins and one by Joe Halderman and John Scalzi
