Love the Jack Reacher series, mans man, doesnt take any shit - the way Child describes the fights he's always in, its like its happening right in front of you - mint!

I'm currently working my way through the James Bond novels written by Ian Fleming (read them all as a kid). They are a million light years away from the films, as there are no gadgets or car chases, but they are dark, brutal, and gritty. In the books he's an assassin, plain and simple thats his job, in most of the films he's not. You Only Live Twice is what I'm currently reading and I've about 5 chapters or so to go. I'm from the generation were my mother made me read every Sunday for at least three hours sometimes more.
