Been on a Stephen king binge the last few months. Most recent are desperation, under the dome and currently 11/22/63. All brilliant as you'd expect from king.

Do you not get disappointed with the endings in his books? They always appear rushed or a huge anti-climax compared to the rest of the book.

Yes that is one criticism you can aim at king. His books do tend to come to an abrubt end with no real closure.

I was even disappointed with the ending of The Stand, which is one of my favourite books. Don't get me started on It.

How do you have a nice clean ending with any of his books? I've read everything at our library by him and he's not the kind of writer to give you closure. Agreed that some of them are poorly finished but I still love them

It was the middle third of 11.22.63 that I didn't like. It was so tedious and most of it completely unnecessary. The first third of it though was as good as anything I've ever read. I'm reading The Martian by Andy Weir at the moment. It is excellent so far.
