What "Classic" songs do you hate with a passion?

Am a massive fan of both David Bowie and Elvis Costello.
They both write clever lyrics with sharp, musical accompaniment.
But on the following 2 songs I feel they have been lazy and gone for the easy, commercial "pop" option :-

David Bowie : Ashes to Ashes
Elvis Costello : Oliver's Army

Haha rubbish it's great and it's ours now. Anyway Beatles wern't interested in football. I like hearing City fans sing it.

Feliz Navidad drives me crazy, they say Feliz Navidad about 300 fucking times !
Also the backing sounds like a cheap Casio keyboard, horrible, thang god it's only sang from November onwards.

Also The Rivers Of Babylon by Boney M is shite.

I have honestly never heard that song in my life, or at least it’s never registered. I’m pretty sure it’s never been a “classic”.

Deffo shite though.

The only correct answer to this thread. I’ve had an irrational hatred of this song for my entire life. Not keen on anything the Beatles ever did.

I like their drugged up droney psychedelic stuff but the Beatles singalong happy pop stuff can get in the bin.

At the ground they should just play the proper version of Pounding by Doves instead. Not that shit mashup ‘Right here right now’ version.
